Interview with Bbeats

So as your aware this blog is suppose to show love and support for local artist, and even though im from minnesota, young Bryce Malone from Atlantic City, New Jeresy is still local to me. So i caught up with B, as his close friends call him, on Facebook for a quick interview!

Starling: Where so you get you inspiration?

Bbeats: I've always gotten my inspiration from any music, but mainly Fabolous, all his music has an impact on everything and anything i do when i work.

S:  Is it safe to say that's your favorite artist?

B: Haha everyone that knows me even in the slightest way knows he is and always will be my favorite MC.

S: Haha good answer! Okay harder one... what does music mean to you?

B: What does music mean to me . . damn, I mean what doesn't it mean Music is the ONLY universal language in the world everyone speaks different languages and all that doesn't matter in music. Music is life and life is music

S: Well if anyone doubted you there is the truth!

B: lol thats the truth exactly

S: So when and how did you get started?

B: I got started like almost 2 years ago now and i never really told anybody but my boy from the city 'Keylo' Shoutout to key his music since like freshman year in high school was proving to me that people around here are capable of making it and i actually originally started making the beats for his intention but now its obviously all over the place

S: What equipment do you use?

B: I use FL Studio 10 'Fruity Loops' and for the studio i'll usually use what they have which is usually perfect but i have a Yamaha Motif Xf8 Keyboard for when i decide to work from home

S: Okay so what was your last big project? One that is done already!

B: Well Im Working With Regulator Records And their artist SnakeIIz right now and me and another rapper from around here Mike Stacks are working on a 609 type tape that will be out soon and of course Keylo mixtape in the Bound4Fame series will be soon damn i didnt even realize how much is going on and i got some cats from New York I'm Workin With and then just side business you know.

B: The biggest project out right now is Mike Stacks 'Intro To High-95' The Official Video everyone check that out me and him are gonna be doing this shit together for jersey.

S: Damn man!! Busy busy!! So where do you hope you and mike take it?

B: Man me and mike, the sky is the limit for us i mean im only 18 hes still up at rutgers in school, the sky is the limit.

S: Good out look man!! So if any artist in time could spit on your beats who would you want it to be?

B: o shoot i cant forget my man KiDD Saturday hes gonna be big that kids got talent i just met him and his next tape is gonna be alot of me i love his work. and aw man haha i mean realistically ? Maybe this dude broadway whos signed to fab's street family crew, and maybe work with somebody like dj drama. We'll see how big i can get then i'll see what oppurtunities come my way

S: Haha okay man!! With the rate your going, where do you see your self in five years?

B: Man i couldn't even tell you wherever God plans to take me. It sounds like im in it for the money but honestly to some extent i am. But only for the reasons of providing for my family you know, make it so none of them have to work another day in their lives. Thats not a long shot, but it'll be tough. the money is coming in now, and hopefully it gets bigger and bigger, like i said im only 18. so five years, i'll just hope i have a contract with somebody.

S: Okay last question, life dream?

B: Be remembered. Thats it , it can be from music which i'd hope, but just be remembered have people talking about me for some good reason after im gone. Work with Fab i guess too or just have him know about my work, and aside from that like i just said before this get my family to where they deserve to be and have them living the life, like big sean said, "give my mom a palace shes a queen so she deserves it"

S: Well that's deep man!! That's truely a great thing to want. Your a good man! So last thing is any body out there you would like to thank or shoutout to?

B: Aw man my whole team Bbetto, Santi, Teddy, Big Tut, Christian. And shouts to the people workin with me KiDD Saturday, Odd Couple, Regulator Records, Snake Iiz, Key, P Gang, Mikey Stacks cant give his last name haha of course and my Boy Steve Hartley he brought me and Mike together so hes kinda out coach . . He called us kobe and and Shaq last night. alittle early for that but we'll see what 2012 brings. and my boy CHRIS ACCARDI can't Forget Em lol and my boys mike kerley and franco.
