NizzyNate Millyunzs Interview

One of the best quotes I've ever heard was this one by An Unknown person, "Some times you are in the right place at the right time, But most of the time you Just get Lucky!" Well weather I was In the right place, or just really lucky, I ran into a guy that pretty much changed my life! That guy goes by the Name of NizzyNate Millyunz! After first seeing him perform live at Aqua Night Club, I loved his music! Got one of his CD's and took it home and Fell more in love! So I reached out to Him and Posted him on Here, and I got nothing but love back from him! So we set up an interview and he invited Me out to his next show at Honey! So we sat down before the show and Chatted!!

Starling: So I got some basic Questions!


NizzyNate:  I'll Answer them to the best of my ability!


S: So where you from and where you living?


N: I'm from Nashville, Tennessee originally, Graduated from Farmington High School in 2010, and now I live in Burnsville. Stay out in Burnsville!


S: How did you get started with music?


N: Um, really been doing music my whole life, with all different types. Started off singing acoustic songs, my brother plays guitar here.(points at brother who is filming us!) And I was in a couple bands for a while, Didn't really work out for me I started doing Hip Hop, What? (Looks towards brother) I want to say junior year in high school. That's when I just started just writing stuff, and I was like you know this might be cool. So I got myself some recording gear when I was a senor, and Took off from there! Now I'm going to IPR, Institute of Production and Recording, right over here on Washington, and its going good, I got one more quarter till I graduate, Get my degree in Music and  Entertainment Business! 


S: So when you started where did you want to take your music?


N: Honestly it started out as a joke, Completely, just for fun. I love music always have, and you know its just for fun. People started telling me this is good stuff, I should put it out. So we did, Started learning more about the business side when I went to college. Its been taking off sense then! 


S: So where do you want to take it now?


N: Every where, all over the world!


S: Important one, What does Music mean to you?


N: Psh, Everything!! With out it, I would be nothing, Honestly I would be absolutely nothing. I would be nowhere I would not like my life, my life would suck with out this! I'm glad I have it!


S: Who's your inspiration?


N:  My Mom! Big time, she's really a.. really important figure in the business world in general, So I kind of take after her in that sense, I never stop working so she's been my biggest motivation! All these guys around me, and People like you, The people that keep me going!


S: So who's your favorite artist? 


N: Favorite artist? Hmm.. I'm Going to say P-Nut, P-Nut the Artists is my favorite artist!!


S: Songs you felling these days?


N: Songs? Lets see, I mean I listen to a lot of Drake, I like Drake, I think that goes with out saying. Um, Kirk Cobains, I like Kirk Cobains a lot. I think he has a pretty cool style. J.Cole, Big J.Cole fan. Was A Lil' Wayne fan until the recent transition in to the skateboarding phase, now I'm not so much. Pretty much covers it for main artists that I like. 


S: Got a favorite album of all time?


N: my favorite album of all time would not even remotely be close to a Hip Hop album. It would be an Eagle's album, It would be there greatest hits album. I'm a big Eagle's fan, I came up on that kind of music!


S: Everyone knows Hotel California!


N:  Oh yeah Oh yeah!! 


S: So what you working on right now?


N: Currently me and P-Nut are working on the Blunt wraps and Nightcaps, BLUNT WRAPS AND NIGHTCAPS (Blunt wraps and Nightcaps get said in background by three guys!) Album. That's going to be good, we are thinking about doing it as a duel album, Blunt Wraps and then Nightcaps, so two separate, you know,  CD's with in the album. We've been working our asses on that for probably two or three months now. We got our cover for it, we got most the tracking done, we have a few more songs to write and record too, send them over to our mixer and master and uh, we're going to put it out, we're going to get them printed up and everything and hopefully sell them! So that's a big project for me right now, that's what I'm focusing on must. And them I'm planing on doing some collaborative work with the group 7Tre from Richfield, so uh, That will be good too!

S: So do you plan on staying in Minnesota?


N: I like it here, I'm not going to lie, I like it here. But if I can go other places, if the opportunity comes then I will defiantly leave here, I have no problem leaving here! 


S: Just for like tours or do you want to move some where? 


N: I guess it depends how much money comes with the whole thing. I might have a place here always but I'd like to get a place in Cali, I know that for sure! Yup I just went there for my first time to L.A. And it was a hell of a time! Yes Sir!! 


S: Well that's all the questions I got! 


N: Sounds Good to me!
