Starling: So how did you get started with your music?
DJ: So at the age of 12.. I had brain surgery when I was 11 years old. I couldn't Do Sh!t after, like I was terrible at sports so I just started picking up music. I can play the guitar, started out playing guitar. And I found my love of Hip Hop through a group Called Atmosphere, discovered them and haven't stopped in Hip Hop Sense then.
Starling: So you were Just on Warped Tour? How was that?
DJ: Yeah I was just on Warped Tour, and that thing was amazing!! Dude like Warped Tour is awesome because it brings together Core, Punk, Hip Hop, all the elements! and then we got the Bring it Back Tour stage, and there bringing out all the elements of Hip Hop, They got B-Boys, Graffiti , MC's Singers they Got everything! Its amazing, and all the people are so nice and caring! Its an awesome environment!
Starling: So what were you doing for them?
DJ: I was fortunate enough to be an the Bring it Back stage, with the good homie Kosha Dill we did a set every day for like Five days. I spun for my Favorite MC, One Be Lo of the legendary group Binary Star, that was really dope. Met a couple good friends MOD SUN, T Mills, Be Easy.
Starling: So what you working on right now?
DJ: So I got like three tapes in the works right now. I got a mixtape, Calm Cool and Collected, Its going to be FREE its going to be on Bandcamp, Soundcloud, and yeah its going to be Dope! We got a few tracks on there! I produce as well, I do like Midwest flavor sample beats, I sample a couple known songs, Justice flip, sample a Game track! We got the legendary Glow Pesci on there and an up and coming MC on Soul Tools Mastermind and Midwest Selects, they rep that hard too! them my EP, UMM I Don't really have a title for that one yet But its all rapped on by a dude from St. Paul his name is James Franken! Um this Kid is 15 years old and he just flows hard, he's really dope! And then my next Mixtape droppin in September some time is called On the Corner and that is going to be like all sample beats that go really hard, going to have some heavy hitters on that one! and that's all I got
Starling: That's a lot on your plate bruh! So what does music mean to you?
DJ: Music Means every thing!! I cant do anything man! Like I suck at school(Oh did I mention he is only 16?) I suck at sports, Like I'm 6'8" and I cant even shoot a lay-up! HAHA you know what I mean, Like music is every thing! It allows you to explore yourself and bring out everything that's inside you! and Um..
Starling: *Random guys climes out closed car* HAHA that smells good!!
DJ: I know right HAHA But yeah Music is just everything!!

Starling: Now I got to ask about this shirt your wearing! Every time I see you, You're wearing it!
DJ: Which one?

DJ: The "Your Never Going To Make It" HAHA
Starling: Yeah That one! Every Time I see you, You got it On
DJ: HAHA Oh god, "Your Never Going To Make It" Oh God! I got that From Karma Loop On the clearance rack for like Ten Bucks. And I think its so funny cause like EVERYBODY told me, Everybody Told me I was never going to make it, I was never going to be anything! Right? Now I'm doing all this Stuff, I went on Paid Dues, I'm On Vans Warped Tour, and now haha now we are doing First Ave. Main Room. So I just wear it as a symbol to the hatters! Like Screw you!!
