Louis The Engineer Interview

You can find a lot of meaning behind music! Or you can find none, well today meaning should be important and should make a good song! Today I bring you and interview with who I believe just might be the leader of meaning, Louis The Engineer! Enjoy!


Starling: Who are you and Where are you from?

Louis: I am Louis The Engineer, and I hail from Jacksonville, NC

Starling: What does music Mean to you?

Louis: Music, to me is the ability to capture of essence of things we can't say regularly. Music is where you can be a mixture of things with out limitations.

Starling: so where do you find your inspiration?

Louis: Haha I don't even know. Just stuff I'm going through. And sometimes what I see going on around me. If I'm feeling good I might write something a little more braggy, but I'm in a depressed mood I'm usually more introspective, It's deeper.

Starling: Music wise where do you find Inspiration?

Louis: That list is endless HAHA. A lot of Lupe Fiasco when I first started writing. Then some of Drake's older stuff. Kanye West definitely. Recently I've moved into a lot of West Coast rap that inspires me. AB- Soul, Kendrick Lamar, School Boy Q. I do like raping over old school beats, Eric B. and Rakim, Stuff like that!

Starling: Just well rounded Group! What you working on right now?

Louis: Yeah, it's good to be! Right now I am working on a mixtape titled "Freewritted" where I'm just going to flow over some popular beats to help kick up some excitement around my name. I think it will be nice to get my mane out there to some people who didn't know who I was before.

Starling: Good Plan! any short term goals?

Louis: Yes actually, I'm working on getting more features. The two mixtapes I had made in my closet were solely just me. I did a collaboration recently and it felt good. The contrast in styles and flows, It was smooth!!

Starling: How about long term goals?

Louis: well I'd like to be successfully independent. Which you only really find on the west coast, but being independent would give me space to attend college and all of that stuff that would keep my parents happy. But signing a deal would be nice too!

Starling : and artists you would really like to work with?

Louis: Dangg. Pharrel or all of NERD for that matter. Kanye, Earl Sweatshirts, Hit Boy, The Kooks HAHA, Odd Future, Lupe Fiasco, AB-Soul. That list just goes on and on!!

Starling: well thats all the questions I got!
